I love stocks. It is the only job where you can be looking at a stable 100 year old manufacturing business one day and a new-fangled plant based food company the next..then immediately be a part (ok tiny, infinitesimal) owner of that business.
But the problem is there’s so many companies that look good! We can’t be going down every rabbit hole or following up on every screaming buy on Barron’s/FT/WSJ/WSB/SeekingAlpha.
This is where Core Convictions can help out. There are 3 categories of posts:
Explainers: This is where I lay out briefly what the company is all about and what’s driving its story.
[High Conviction] Explainers: If the business is compelling enough to warrant a deeper look, I’ll tag it as a [High Conviction].
Deep Dive: Once or twice a month, I’ll do a Deep Dive post on a [High Conviction] idea where I really drill down into the details, build out an excel model and share my valuation of the company with you!
